Forum Snowboards and High Cascade Join Forces for Summer 2009 and Complete the World’s Second Virtual High Five
BURLINGTON, VT (May 26, 2009) – Forum Snowboards and High Cascade Snowboard Camp are once again partnering up for the 2009 summer season. Along with a Pat Moore/Peter Line signature session, High Cascade will offer several of Forum’s new 2010 products in their demo closet. This means serious business.

“Business is serious and we mean business,” states Forum Brand Manager David Friend. “We even told the GM about this one BEFORE we did it.”

“He did,” adds Sam Paschel, Forum General Manager. “I’m not sure why, though.”

For those looking to get that flowy playful feel with added snap and stability, four of Forum’s boards with new ChillyDog continuous rocker will be available to demo in a range of sizes, including the transition-killing Destroyer ChillyDog and the swashbuckling Scallywag. In addition, the first ten lucky campers per session to get out on a ChillyDog board and experience continuous rocker will get a free Cobra Dog AND an original print made by Peter Line.

“Art is serious business,” says Preston Strout, HCSC Director. “When David said there would be Peter Line art involved, I knew they meant business … serious business.”

Forum will also be debuting its brand new award-winning Shaka binding, allowing the ultimate in natural board flex. And for the first ten campers per session to get out and experience the “Good Vibes” of the Shaka’s hinged disc, they’ll get a pair of Shaka flip-flops.

“I can’t wear flip-flops myself,” states Strout. “My toenails look like dragon teeth. But campers with nice toenails are very fortunate and should display them proudly.”

“I agree 100%,” adds Paschel. “Are you really quoting me about toenails?”

“No,” says Strout. “It’s about business.”

Then the two businessmen combined businesses, forces and souls in only the world’s second virtual high-five. No media was allowed access at the time.

This injury translates to a definite ender for his season, but Pete will be fully recovered come mid-June. "Back to the Boneyard" wasn't just an event thrown to pay homage to one of the finer East coast parks, but a way for Pat Moore to help raise scholarship money for the Waterville Valley Snowboard Academy. With a hundred competitors showing up for the event, and a serious trick menu to shop from, Pat and all the riders helped raise a nice chunk of change to help make "snowboard school" a little more affordable for a lucky shredder out there.

Stratton Mountain hosted the 29th Annual US Open Championships, and along with most other established (and not-so-established) competitive snowboarders, Forum sent some representatives of its own to put into the mix. One such competitor, Daniel Ek, happened to land himself a podium finish in Friday night's Quarterpipe event. A huge front 9, McTwist, Michaelchuck, and several large backside airs brought him into the number 2 position and a check for $5000.

PRIZE AND ITS APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE ("ARV")
There are fifty (50) prizes, consisting of one (1) Forum or Aganst’em team movie of Forum’s sole discretion. Approximate retail value of prize is USD Twenty Five and 00/100 Dollars ($25.00).

Winners will be solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, license, fees or other costs. Forum will ship prize to each winner via Federal Express at Forum’s expense. Forum is not responsible for delays in delivery of any prize. Winners shall bear all risk of loss to prize after it has been received. Forum is under no obligation to provide winners with any other substitute prize. In the event a winner is or becomes ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
Prize is non-transferable; no substitutions, exchanges, or product redemptions. Winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Release within fourteen (14) days of notification or prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.

On a recent urban trip, the crew didn't have access to their drop in ramp, so they were forced to construct their own. This video highlights Nic Sauve's skills as a carpenter and demonstrates his knowledge of The Pythagorean Theorem. In Forum Global News, Jake Blauvelt can be seen gracing the pages of the newest issue of Pleasure. They probably talk about how great of a snowboarder Jake is, and congratulate him on him on his video part in Forum or Against'em. They could alos be talking about the kitten he rescued, or what it's like free-basing maple syrup in Vermont...It's hard to say considering the interview was written in a language that most Americans won't understand. At least you can enjoy the pictures.

The Faction in Alexandria MN held the 5 annual “Faction Challenge” last weekend. Forum was on hand to show some support, eat some of their hotdogs, and drink some of their beer. The sun was out, but as usual in Minnesota, it was pretty darn cold. The riders warmed things up for everyone and had a great time in the park.
