BEHIND THE SCENES 2009 - ZONES WITH TIM PEARE
"Look Before You Leap" is a term you'll hear quite often in snowboarding, especially on those Smart Style signs at the entrance to most terrain parks. The same can ultimately be said in the backcountry. These photos from Tim Peare highlight the Forum team doing some looking. For all the leaping, well, check back in Fall 09 for the new video release.

JAKE WELCH SPENDS A LOT OF TIME ON THE PHONE
Staff Photographer Tim Peare can show you two things:
1. Jake Welch is a great snowboarder
2. When he's not being a great snowboarder, he's probably on the phone with his girlfriend.
Check this little video nugget to see exactly what we're talking about.

DEW TOUR: NORTHSTAR-AT-TAHOE
Daniel Ek, Greg Bretz, Ian Thorley, and Trevor Jacob were all in attendance for the final stop of the 2009 Winter Dew Tour, held in Northstar-at-Tahoe. Although no one won anything, or even placed for that matter, they all looked good hanging out. Actually, they looked great...

BEHIND THE SCENES 2009 - LAKE TAHOE BACKCOUNTRY WITH IAN RUHTER
Lake Tahoe has been the site of some serious dumps lately. The Forum Crew has set up camp, and is working diligently on the filming of this year's video release. Everyone loves the glory of huge lines and powder booters, but few realize the imminent dangers that exist while riding and filming in the backcountry. This photoset comes from Ian Ruhter and showcases the unstable snow conditions all throughout the Tahoe area.

BEHIND THE SCENES 2009 - SLEDS WITH IAN RUHTER
Snowmobiling and Snowboarding go hand in hand. You wouldn't see most backcountry shots without them, and although it's fun, snowmobiling is also a huge pain. From digging out stuck sleds, to constant repair work, the time and money put into these machines is endless. Ian Ruhter snapped a few photos that capture the not-so-fun side of winter transportation.

MAMMOTH DEMO DAYS
The annual Demo Days celebration was held for Southern California retailers at Mammoth Mountain. Forum staff was on hand turning screws and getting everyone set up (and set back) to ride some powder. In between all the slashes and tree runs, buyers were welcomed back to the tent to check more decks, and grab some grub off the grill, compliments of Chef Dewey.

DON'T WORRY, JAKE'S OKAY
Jake Welch took a bit of a spill the other day. "A bit", might actually be a bit of an understatement, considering Jacob racked his dome pretty good. Forum Staff Photographer, Tim Peare, was there to help Jake regain his bearings, and to shoot this mini-interview documenting his post-concussion feelings.

BEHIND THE SCENES 2009 - PORTRAITS BY TIM PEARE
Forum Lensman, Tim Peare, snapped some mugshots on his recent travels with various members of the Forum team. Not so much a "what they're doin'" supdate as it is a "how they're lookin'" one...and yeah, they look good. They look REAL good. HEY EVERYONE, COME AND SEE HOW GOOD THEY LOOK!

LEAVING LAS VEGAS - SIA 2009
Forum recently attended the SIA show in Las Vegas, where snowsport manufactures, retailers and lurkers came together to check out the latest and greatest in snowsport equipment. Amidst all the skis, sleds, snowboards, boots and bindings, there were scantily clad individuals, copious amounts of booze and numerous other “did you see that” happenings. The Forum booth held down space G72 (whatever that means), and among the lurkers were the likes of some highly influential pro riders. For those of you that missed out on SIA's last year in Vegas, have a look.
