FORUM AT SNOWBOARDER MAGAZINE'S 12TH ANNUAL SUPERPARK

Mammoth Mountain hosted this year's Superpark, entitled "Son of Berzerker". Pat Moore came down for a few days to meet up with For'ams Greg Bretz, Trevor Jacob, Niko Cioffi, and Cameron Pierce. You'll have to wait for next season's issue to drop for all the magazine worthy coverage, but for now, here's a sneak-peak.

WCI 2008

Mammoth locals Greg Bretz and Trevor Jacob were joined by fellow For'am members Cameron Pierce and Niko Cioffi for the annual West Coast Invitational and Fiesta De La Pipa situated in Mammoth, California.

They definitely shined in the competition, but unfortunately, not bright enough to walk away with any cash in the winner take-all-event. So yeah, there's not much to update when nobody wins anything. Just chow down on some photos from the weekend's event, and wash it down with some Corona while you enjoy your Cinco de Mayo.

JAKE WELCH UPDATE

Since Jake Welch is so fond of the crew at Forum (and vice versa), he decided to take a quick flight out from Salt Lake City to provide some feedback on various things. Here he is with Dave, the Forum Board Designer, providing some thoughts on women’s jib board. Actually, this photo is nothing more than testing out our new blog capabilities.

ASKING JAKE

Jake Blauvelt has been on a tear in the Pacific Northwest backcountry - opting to collect knee-deep memories, rather than podium trophies. His prowess and natural board control is a thing of inherent beauty. Read some words (as asked by Forum correspondent Joel Muzzey) right here.

DROPPIN' F BOMBS / NORTHSTAR AT TAHOE AND BRIGHTON

DROPPIN' F BOMBS - NORTHSTAR
A sizable midweek crew came together at Northstar-at-Tahoe for a detonating demonstration of explosive snowboarding, bomb sliding, gut bombing, and bomb dropping. Chris Bartkowski brought home a Forum Destroyer Snowboard for being the first to 50/50 540 off the missile. Cody Boan got some Forum boots for a nose-press f/s 360 off the firecracker stick, and Andrew Brewer received Forum bindings for his f/s Chuck Norris Chop b/s 450 revert off the upright F Bomb.

----

DROPPIN' F BOMBS - BRIGHTON
Meanwhile, over at Brighton, Utah over 100+ contestants signed-up to test their skills against the F Bombs. Ben Farrell was rewarded Forum bindings for his 50-50 to Bennihana off the missile jib. Alex Andrews will be stomping around in some Forum boots for his cab 450/450 out on the firecracker stick, and Christian Hobush will be jibbing in style on a brand new Forum Youngblood for his 360 nose bonk on the upright F Bomb. Mucho gut bombs were served, so one should shudder to think what the Brighton bathrooms looked like. But, the biggest explosions came after the contest when Brighton lit-up a fireworks show in celebration of all the bombs being dropped.

DROPPIN' F BOMBS SUMMIT AT SNOQUALMIE

The Northwest produced it’s (almost) patented moist and hazy weather for what proved to be an energetic stop of the Droppin' F Bombs event type thing at Summit at Snoqualmie. The custom course contained a bomb-drop drop-in, mogul minefield and three custom F Bomb jibs.

The unique set-up allowed for serious creativity, where hick-ups (from gut-bomb burritos), hang-ups and stylish bonks were all fair game. After a full days session in the course, a Forum board, boot and binding were rewarded to three worthy competitors.
